I not a therapist either but I have immense respect for Dr. Cummings and his work on brief intermittent therapy through the life span. I was a client when Ohio Biodyne was in Ohio and my Biodyne therapist referred to Dr. Cummings often. I do not deal with sexual identity problems but I think these are pretty well thought out.

I am not a therapist but I read through it and think it would be an improvement on what I experienced as reparative therapy. My therapist told me that I probably had touch deprivation since my lesbian relationships were more about cuddling than sex. And then she asked if I wanted to be held by her. She didn't force anything but I thought maybe it would help me not be attracted to women anymore. She didn't try anything sexual but it didn't help. She combed my hair and rubbed my back but it just confused me and wasted a bunch of time and money. I don't understand everything you say in this guideline but if people knew about it then maybe they could ask questions before they go into counseling.

MG
